About Evoke
AI Agents are rapidly becoming the new operating system for enterprises, yet they are creating a massive, hidden security debt that is compounding daily. At Evoke, we aren’t just watching this shift happen. We are securing it. Our mission is to surface and control the risks that agents pose to businesses. Just as EDR did for endpoints, we are doing for agents with the industry’s first true Agent Detection and Response platform.
About The Role
As a Staff AI Security Research Engineer, you will serve as a foundational pillar of our product strategy. You will work closely with the founders to drive research and development of new threat modeling techniques and run-time detection and response capabilities. You will have a results-oriented mindset that focuses on practical threats rather than theoretical noise.
Your role includes rapidly developing prototypes to enhance Evoke’s core product capabilities. As part of this, you will partner closely with Engineering teams to productize new features.
You partner with GTM teams to write blog posts and speak at industry conferences to establish yourself and Evoke as leaders in agentic security.
Primary Responsibilities
Drive Full-Cycle Security Research and Prototyping: Lead research initiatives to develop new product prototypes. You will investigate emerging security challenges in agentic platforms, covering traditional security issues as well as emerging risks such as indirect prompt injection or rogue agents, with the overarching objective of improving Evoke’s platform in the following areas:
Design Runtime Detection Capabilities: Develop, refine, and implement world-class detection logic and rules to enhance Evoke’s runtime protection product.
Threat Modeling Agentic Systems: Develop and refine threat-modeling techniques for Agentic AI architectures to map agentic risk surfaces.
Collaborate on Product Implementation: Partner directly with Engineering teams to translate research findings and proofs of concept into practical, scalable features for Evoke’s platform. You will ensure that research insights are technically feasible and aligned with the product vision.
Academic, Market, and Competitor Analysis: monitor emerging research, competitor capabilities, market shifts, and gaps in current defense methodologies to inform Evoke’s strategic roadmap.
Thought Leadership and Content Creation: translate technical research into public-facing content, including white papers, technical blogs, and conference presentations.
